Services - School Physical Exams
Conveniently located in your McLean neighborhood. Due to the pandemic, we do our best to space our appointments to help patients adhere to social distancing.
Having had her our daughters participate in McLean Youth club sports, Dr. Armani recognizes the importance and parent needs in obtaining a Sports 
Physical Exam, otherwise referred to as Preparticipation Physical Examination or PPE. This exam aims to determine if it is safe for your child to engage in a specific sport. There are two components to this type of exam. First there is a medical history collected. Next the doctor will perform a general exam in addition to evaluate the child's posture, strength, flexibility and joints.
A yearly physical exam is an important part of your child’s health care. While specific requirements vary by school and/or sports organization, school and sports physicals can help ensure that your child is healthy and physically prepared to join in activities. During the exam, we will review the complete health history and ensure that your child is up-to-date with immunization and vaccine recommendations for their age.
If you live in Virginia and you are required to fill out this form, you may download the Commonwealth of Virginia School Entrance Health Form via this download link. Then print it and bring it with you during your appointment.
